Two stewards will be stationed at the entrance to the campsites to ensure only family members are entering the campsite and that no unattended children leave the campsite.

Two children aged 15 years and under are free with each ticket-holding parent/guardian. Please bring proof of age (birth certificate/passport) for any child who looks older than their years. Teenagers may be asked for ID. If the person’s age cannot be verified then they will be required to pay for an adult ticket to gain entry.
What facilities will be available on the campsite?
Accessible and regular toilets will be available throughout the entire site. There will also be a dedicated hot shower block located beside the family camping site at the Sunflower Village and also in the rowdy singles camping field. Locations of showers will be clearly signposted. All facilities can also be found on the site map which will be available online.

Not at this time.
How far is it from the car park to the campsite?
The car park is only a short walk away from the main entrance. The first family campsite is located at this entrance. The furthest campsite is approximately 300 metres from the main entrance. The shuttle bus drop-off point is 200 metres from the main entrance. No cars are permitted in the campsites.
How do I get my gear from car park to the campsite?
There will be a trolley service operated by our charity partner with all proceeds going to RSPB NI to help in their 'finding nature a home' campaign. You can also ask one of our dedicated volunteers to assist. They will be wearing yellow visibility jackets. Our advice for all festival goers is to bring only your essentials as Sunflowerfest does not take responsibility for damage to or loss of property.
Can I bring gas canisters onsite?
No gas canisters or open fires are permitted onsite. There is a designated area within the campsite where portable barbeques are allowed.
Can I bring a gazebo/canopy?

Kartent, Glamping and Campervans
You will need to purchase these tickets to gain
access to the dedicated sites for these camping options.
All of these areas are located within the festival
site and each occupant must also have a festival
weekend camping ticket. Tents are not
permitted in any of these areas.
For 2017 we will have a new dedicated campervan area with improved facilities and optional power.
Campervans must load in on the Thursday before the festival
Campervans cannot depart before 9.00am on the Monday after the festival.
Can I pitch a tent next to my camper van?
Tents cannot be pitched in the campervan area for health & safety reasons.
Can I bring a trailer-tent or caravan?
Trailer-tents and caravans are permitted in the Campervan Site but must also purchase a campervan supplement ticket.
Is there an electric hook-up for my camper van?
Yes, for 2017 there will be optional power available for a small fee.
Can I bring a generator for my camper van?
No, all generators are prohibited on the festival grounds.
Is it possible to park a commercial style van (Hi-ace, Transit, etc.) in the campervan area if I have a campervan ticket?
Ordinary commercial vans of any type will not be permitted so please do not purchase a campervan ticket for anything other than a purpose built or adapted live-in vehicle. We would define this as having it’s own in-built kitchen facilities and toilet.
Can I park my car beside my tent?
No, vehicles are not permitted into any of the campsites or the campervan park.
Does everybody wanting to enter the campervan area need to purchase a campervan supplementary ticket as well?
Only ONE campervan ticket is required per campervan. Anyone travelling with it or using it just needs a standard weekend ticket.
What if I don’t want to camp, can I still attend the festival?
Yes, of course. We’d love you to join us at the festival and offer a range of non-camping tickets. Our full list of pricing options are available here.
Where else can I stay?

Pre-Pitched 'cardboard' KarTents
Every year, at most festivals world-wide, a lot of stuff gets left behind.
We're no strangers to this at Sunflowerfest, especially after Northern
Ireland's only three-day, interactive celebration of music, interactive
arts and storytelling. A lot of stuff does get left behind: food and drink,
general rubbish and for our rowdy singles campsite, trace amounts of
Thankfully, we always keep our eco-friendly ethos close to our hearts and every year our dedicated volunteers help us tidy up. We recycle everything we can and Tubby's Farm returns to a beautiful community garden again by the very next week.
But one problem that's tougher to solve are the non-recyclables and more specifically abandoned tents. We know you've been there. It's the morning after day three and taking down that tent you bought last-minute becomes a lot more like wrestling a wild animal. The whole process seems infinitely more complicated now, there are pegs everywhere, there's no way this thing fitted into that tiny tent bag to begin with, did it? So, you take the path of least resistance.
Our Dutch friends at Kartent tell us that 1 out of 4 people leave their tent behind on various festival campsites worldwide. And while we don't exactly know the math, we do know that our global festival family leave behind approximately seven billion tents each year…
Alright, well maybe not that many. But ideally we'd like our family-friendly festival to leave no environmental impact at all. Synthetic tents are usually made up of 30-or-more materials, and when our unclaimed tents get sent to the rubbish heap this is not good news for the environment.
But, our friends at KarTent have come up with a solution. KarTent are 100% percent recyclable, cardboard tents. Yes, you read that right - cardboard tents! They fit two people, measure at a comfy 2.2 x 1.5 metres and weigh a sturdy sixteen kilograms (so you won't have to worry about your accommodation blowing away).
We know what your first concern would be with a cardboard tent, especially our Northern Irish festival-goers, what about the rain. Well, KarTent have produced a tent that's not only easily recyclable but also water-resistant. They tell us they've had a tent last for 2 and a half months in the elements. And the material, no ordinary cardboard but a high-quality CCM called kraftliner, is actually a fantastic insulator. This means you'll be able to block out the early morning sun, the whole family can get a lie in before another day of festival fun and, yes, you'll even be able to block out that guy singing Free Fallin' at 3am this year. What's not to like?
